We are very happy to share that Milan Stopforth achieved a GOLD medal at the annual AMSASA National Abacus and Mental Arithmetic Championship which was held in on Saturday the 2nd of May at Hoërskool Florida in Roodepoort, Gauteng.

At this very exciting event, each child had to write 3 x Soroban (Japanese abacus) exams – each 3 minutes long, and 1 x Anzan (mental maths) exams – also 3 minutes long. Each child competed in their relevant levels and age groups. There were 182 children competing in the event.
